SCHOOL CREST ANTOA MOTTO:

The logo of the school consists of a flaming torch with a red color radiating truth, enlightenment, and wisdom, a Bible depicting moral excellence and unquestionable integrity and a traditional sword which shows the interest the community has in the school.

About Antoa Senior High School

In 1969, a group of prominent Antoa elders got together, established the school, and gave it the name Adonten Akoten Secondary School. It began as a private school on the old school grounds, with just 12 pupils attending classes held in makeshift classrooms. In September of 1971, the institution became a part of the general public education system and was thereafter renamed Antoa Secondary School.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT OVER THE YEARS:

In 1985/86 won the inter-school district soccer competition school won the Regional Trophy for the National Science and Mathematics Quiz in 2007

In 2010 the school was amongst the best handball teams in the region.

  1. For two consecutive times (2010 and 2011 the girls qualified for the Inter–Regional Football competition.
  2. In 2010 – the boys reached the quarter–finals of the regional – inter-school, volley competition.
  3. The school takes part in all regional after–school athletics and soccer competitions.
